Tanner and Emily recently got engaged on the San Antonio Riverwalk, right near The Pearl Brewery. Tanner and I kept checking the forecast since Texas has been rainy for a few weeks now. I was sure to make a rain plan (covered spot to propose in case of rain, clear umbrellas, the works). As I was driving downtown, we hit rain but thankfully the Riverwalk was DRY! Lorenzo and I got into position and waited for Tanner and Emily to get there. Tanner told Emily they were meeting friends for dinner, so she had no idea what would really be happening when she got off from work that day. He hired me, bought the ring and let both of their families know without Emily suspecting a thing.
I swear we saw at least 2-3 other couples wearing similar outfits to what Tanner told me they would be wearing. I was so anxious for them to arrive and was beyond excited when I saw Tanner stretch his arms up in the air (that was our cue). He got down one one knee and asked his girlfriend (now fiancé), Emily, to marry him. We were clear across the river but I could tell right away that it was a YES! After giving the newly engaged couple a few moments, Lorenzo and I headed over to meet them. We introduced ourselves and they agreed to a few photos, which turned out so sweet! This proposal was definitely a fun experience and one I’ll always remember.
Congratulations Emily and Tanner on deciding on forever!
